We are running a series of half-day training sessions from October to December 2008 focussing on a number of key areas of organisational management.
All sessions start from £45.00 per half-day session (including lunch), with concessions for very small organisations; and are user-friendly with follow-up advice and support offered in the topics covered.

VCOs Introduction – An Overview
An look at the role of the voluntary and community sector in community and public service provision. This is an optional introductory module recommended as a ‘taster’ of our full programme detailed below.
Legal Structures
A look at the various legal structures and functions of an organisation under law, and managing risks in your organisation.
Governance
Unpicking the governance maze! An exploration of the key areas of strategic responsibility for management committees and staff.
Good Practice, Standards & Evaluation
Introduction to developing good practice and standards of operation.
Business Planning
The role of the management committee, staff and volunteers as well as key stakeholders in the business planning process.
Organisation Policy Development
A detailed look at the use of policies & procedures in organisational management and delivery of services.
Developing a Fundraising Strategy
A look at sustainable funding strategies, and a range of fundraising methods.
Funding Applications & Bid Writing
Overview of application writing, contract bidding and VCOs (including competing with the public & private sector).
