About the Modernisation Fund Grants Programme
The first phase of the Capacitybuilders Modernisation Fund Grants Programme is aimed at helping you understand your needs better.  During June and July voluntary and community organisations delivering services that meet the needs of communities affected by the recession will be able to apply for £1,000 bursaries to pay local advisers on a specially –compiled Digbeth Trust list for initial advice to explore how they can become more resilient and increase their impact  by working more closely with others.

Early applications are encouraged and will stand more chance of being successful. Visit www.modernisationfund.org.uk to find out more and the Digbeth Trust website www.digbethtrust.org.uk to find out about any updates.

About the Barrow Cadbury Trust new grant programmes
Barrow Cadbury Trust is an independent grant making foundation that awards grants to small and medium sized community organisations in Birmingham and the Black Country.

Applications are welcome from all eligible groups. It operates a transparent and robust assessment process. Average grant size is £25-30k per year. It rarely makes an award of more than two years to groups that are not known to it.

It tries to respond to the first stage proposal within 1 month. If the proposal passes the assessment it will work with you to develop your application and to understand the full cost of project delivery.

The Barrow Cadbury Trust always receives more applications than it is able to fund. Being eligible and meeting the criteria does not ensure success.

The Barrow Cadbury Trust has three main programmes:

Young adults and Criminal Justice - to support groups that take a long term view about working with disadvantaged young people, recognising that change may take time and that improving life chances can take many forms.

Migration - to fund groups working with refugees, asylum seekers, undocumented migrants and other marginalised migrants to empower migrants and ensure they are not excluded from the public debate on migration.

Poverty and Inclusion - to fund groups supporting effective approaches to combating poverty and inequality and helping build inclusive communities.

If you are unable to come to the event on 2nd June at The Bordesley Centre or would like more details about the Barrow Cadbury Trust grant programmes please check the website www.barrowcadbury.org.uk or call the grants team on 020 7632 9060.
