21st Anniversary of The Digbeth Trust - 2007
The Digbeth Trust is celebrating it's 21st Anniversary. The first event to celebrate this landmark followed the Digbeth Trust's AGM on 15th November 2007. There were guest speakers from throughout the Trust's history, food, entertainment and the launch of a new publication about the Trust and our services. To download a copy of the publication click here.
We also revealed details of a new initiative we are launching in January 2008. The Community Assets Treasure Hunt will help voluntary and community groups across the West Midlands to take advantage of the government's new Asset Transfer initiative. For more information about the Community Assets Treasure Hunt you can either see our Treasure Hunt page (see menu on the left of this page) or download our leaflet by clicking here.
Our First 21 Years
21 years ago The Digbeth Trust became registered as a charitable company. Since then we have helped hundreds of voluntary groups to explore and realise their ideas for improvements in their communities. We have helped groups to explore taking on responsibility for community buildings and to set up thriving social enterprises.
Our expertise in business planning, feasibility studies and funding strategies has assisted voluntary and community groups to develop high quality services for local people.
We have also allocated over £1.6million in grants to groups for a wide range of activities including health promotion and supporting unemployed people into work.
As a result of our support community groups are more sustainable, better equipped and more effective.
Throughout the year The Trust will be celebrating our achievements and the achievements of the groups we have worked with over the past 21 years.
We now need your help so that we can continue to support groups to turn their ideas into practical reality.
